Braids, cornrows, locs and extensions — taught hands-on by the stylists who do them every day. Small groups or private lessons, in English or Japanese, at our Sapporo salon.
Small-group classes
Up to 4 students, so every student gets hands-on correction on a mannequin head.
Private lessons
One-to-one teaching on your schedule — for a specific technique, your own hair, or your child's hair.
Salon & team training
Training for salons and stylists who want to add braids or locs to their menu. Ask us for a plan.
Classes & lessons
Mannequin heads and practice hair are provided for every class. Dates are arranged around our students.

Watch a demonstration, then practise on a mannequin with personal correction.

Receive a certificate of completion, plus a month of photo feedback after class.
Good to know
Do I need experience?
No for beginner classes (Braiding Foundations, Cornrows, Home Care & Kids). Intermediate classes assume you can already do basic braids.
Which language are classes taught in?
English or Japanese — tell us your preference when you inquire.
What should I bring?
We provide mannequin heads and practice hair. You are welcome to bring your own mannequin and tools. A notebook helps.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, a DIMPLE Hair Design certificate of completion. Please note it is not a national cosmetology licence (美容師免許). If you plan to offer paid services in Japan, check the licensing rules that apply to you.
Can I practise on a live model?
For some classes and private lessons, yes. Mention it in your inquiry.
